2011 The Indoor-Outdoor Show
From the blog of Lloyd Clarkson - Raleigh's E-bike Development Manager...
First Outdoor Show of 2011!
Yes you did read right, with Janurary not even over, we have exhibited at our first Outdoor show of the season alongside Reaction Electric of Taunton. The Bath and West showground played host to the Outdoor Leisure Show from 7th-9th Jan. Now to be fair, it was cheating a little bit, as the show is billed as an “indoor” Outdoor show!
Although it is worth noting that both myself and Jim Duncan of Reaction Electric braved the weathers outside, which meant that the bikes were available to test ride throughout the show.
Jim for Reaction Electric, Taunton
Friday started off with some heavy rain, but that didn’t put off the throngs of Motorhome and caravan owners eager to get a glimpse of some of the products on offer. The rest of the weekend produced much better weather, but unfortunately due to being super-busy I discovered what can only be described as the best hot chocolate known to man on the very last day of the show.
We will return to the Bath and West showground again for the annual Royal Show between the 1st-4th June, again in partnership with Reaction Electric of Taunton. We will have the enitre fleet of demo and display bikes available, so book it in your diary now (and don’t worry, we have booked the sunshine, it is June afterall!).
Visit www.reactionelectric.co.uk to learn more about the hottest new Raleigh ebike dealer in Taunton, and to book your test ride now!

Conservative Candiate Mark Formosa Supports Green Transport Initiative in Taunton
Here seen on a Vectrix maxi-scooter with Reaction Electric managing director Jim Duncan.
Mark was invited by managing partner Jim Duncan to visit Reaction Electric.
He sized up the Vectrix maxi-scooter and then went off and took his test so he could ride them!
Reaction Electric is currently working closely with Project Taunton and we expect shortly to begin installing a series of electric charging posts at locations around the town.
Mark Formosa said: "I was hugely impressed at how easily available the technology now is for everybody to be able to travel around Taunton without causing any of the emissions which are being blamed for adding to climate change.
So I welcome the moves in Taunton and hope we will quickly see the charging posts installed and more people using electric vehicles.
With the moves which are being made by the Deane council and the county council to become more environmentally friendly, Taunton could become the green capital of the West."
Even in the land of oil, electric vehicles are big news. Saudi Arabia has just ordered 150 charging posts for the King Saud University.
LCV 2010
On the 15th & 16th Oct. Cenex put on the LCV (Low Carbon Vehicles) 2010 event at the auto industry Proving Ground - Millbrook. A great event, clearly showing how Electric Vehicles lead the way into lower carbon transport. Reaction Electric were there to discuss first hand with OLEV (Office of Low Emission Vehicle) how future changes in government policy shall impact on charging networks here in the south-west.
"Bike's absolutely great by the way, and I've been recommending your shop to people I meet.
Tom with a Wisper 905, Crewekerne.
Wow, I love that it's like cycling on the flat when you're ride uphill !
